How It Works
Krill oil's omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation through the same mechanisms as fish oil: EPA and DHA are incorporated into cell membranes, where they compete with arachidonic acid (AA) for enzymatic conversion. This shifts eicosanoid production away from pro-inflammatory prostaglandins and leukotrienes toward anti-inflammatory resolvins and protectins.
