How It Works
The proposed mechanism involves DAA accumulating in the anterior pituitary and testes, where it stimulates luteinizing hormone (LH) release by acting on NMDA receptors in the pituitary, and directly stimulates testosterone synthesis in Leydig cells by upregulating steroidogenic acute regulatory (StAR) protein and steroidogenic enzymes.
