A 2017 Cochrane-style meta-analysis found small non-significant reductions in creatine kinase levels, trivial effects on subsequent performance measures, and small reductions in perceived muscle soreness (SMD -0.40) that may be influenced by placebo effects since blinding is impossible with compression garments.
